TheDeenFast
is a 10 day residential course to be held during the last 10 days of Ramadhan
at Jamia Masjid Chashtiah, Rochdale.
Aims and
Objectives
The
aim of the course is to provide an opportunity for people to gain some serious knowledge
of Islam in a supportive and nurturing environment through the following:
1) Experience the Spiritual Sunnah practice
of 'Itikaaf.
2) Rejuvenate yourself at the end of a long tiring Ramadhaan
3) Learn some of the basics of your deen.
4) Further develop your understanding of the faith.
5) Enhance yourself spiritually
Teaching Method
Classes
will be held mostly from Zuhr to Asr with guided reflection period at other
times.
The Curriculum
The
curriculum so far is as follows:
Tajweed
Fiqh of Tahara
Fiqh of Salah, Janaza and zakat
Seerah
Tafseer ul Quran
Stories of the Prophets
Hadith of the Day
Aqeedah – Tahawi
Contemporary Fiqh - Seminar
Signs before the Day of Judgement- Seminar
Teachers
You
will get a rare opportunity to spend quality time with young English speaking
scholars and seek personal one-to-one guidance or learn
a topic of your choice.
The
main full time teachers will be Shaykh Irfan Chishti, Shaykh Ali Dar (tbc), Sidi Imran Haq, Sidi Zubair Rizwan, Sidi Umar

Women, younger
children and non residential opportunity
Those
of you who cannot attend the full 10 day residential course you can attend on a
daily basis beginning from Zuhr.
A
special class will also be held for under 15 year olds.
Women
are encouraged to attend in the Ladies Hall on daily basis.
Food and
Accommodation
Food
will be provided for both Sehri and Iftari. Please bring your own sleeping
bags/ quilts etc.
Costs
To
cover cost of teaching materials we request a donation of £15 from those who
have the means. |
