Welcome to the Light of Islam Academy website! I hope that you will enjoy this new action packed website and remember you too can be a part of this growing and innovative Academy by joining in with your share. At LoIA our number one aim is to make this amazing faith accessible to all. We take the Quranic injunction – “invite to the way of your lord with kind word and wisdom” as our core business.

The Prophetic words of wisdom – “Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave” shows us the importance of life long learning. The key to good quality education for us is individualised learning – so that every student is catered for according to their own ability.

We realise that as a community we all have a vital role to play in our wider community. For younger pupils it means being equipped with the good social and moral skills that will make them excellent role models for their peers. For the more mature students we aim to equip people with the necessary skills and experiences to enable them to contribute towards the betterment of their communities and society as a whole.

The core values of Islam – love, respect, decency, obedience are paramount for all the staff and students at the Academy and through this we aim to ensure that the first interaction that anyone has with our students and staff is positive. Of course our standard is the perfect character and exemplary behaviour of the noble Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) who we all aspire to and love dearly.
